Gadar “Ek prem katha” hit badly at the box office in 2001. The film had a total budget of 90 crore and grossed 133 crore.
The sequel, Gadar 2, has a budget estimate of Rs 100 crore, is produced by Anil Sharma, and is written by Shaktimaan Talwar.
